SAMPLE -- I Hate My Hair!
This can be a short skit or a choral reading. The five characters do not need to move much, but their movements should be like exasperated cheerleaders -- short, choppy, with lots of shrugs and sighs. Almost a 'Valley Girl' style.
Candace -- I hate my hair!
Robin --I hate my hair!
Shauna --I hate my hair!
All --I hate my hair!
Janelle --Bows and bows and bows up to here!
Krystal --Braids and poofs seen everywhere!
Shauna --Snags
Robin --Snarls
Candace --Snippets
All --Split ends!
All --I hate my hair!
Candace --I get up in the morning so happy and bright,
I’m ready to learn to read and write.
I eat my mush,
My teeth I brush,
Then in the mirror I scream in fright!
Robin --I hate my hair!
Shauna --I hate my hair!
Krystal --I hate my hair!
All --I hate my hair!
Janelle --All the boys should see me,
Sitting so pretty.
All the girls should fuss,
They should be so jealous
I’m the Pastor’s daughter
So why this slaughter!?
