Marko -- Greetings everyone! Greetings! It is my great pleasure to be here today at ____________________ (name of church, restaurant, wherever you are). My name is Marko and I hope that everyone is happy and well fed? Excellent! With today’s global economy at risk and with all of the global warming issues and global meetings taking place I have decided it would be of great interest to one and all if I brought a good friend of mine and expert on the subject.
Marko crosses to the stool next to Polo, places his hand on Polo’s back. Polo sits upright, looks left and right.
Marko -- Polo, say hello to all of our friends and guests.
Polo -- Where?
Marko -- Right there.
Polo -- I don’t see any.
Marko -- Are you telling me that you don’t see all those people, Polo?
Polo -- I see lots of people. I just don’t see any friends or guests.
Marko -- What? Excuse me for his rudeness. These are very nice people, Polo.
Polo -- Maybe. Maybe not.
Marko -- How can you say that?
Polo -- Do you know everybody here?
Marko -- Well, no, not everyone.
Polo -- Liar, liar, pants on fire.
Marko -- Polo!
Polo -- Marko!
Marko -- Don’t call me a liar.
Polo -- If it walks like a duck and talks …
Marko -- All right, all right. What makes you think I’m a liar?
Polo -- You called these people your friends and guests.
Marko -- So?
Polo -- How can you call them friends and guests if you don’t know them?
Marko -- Ah, I see.
Polo -- Some of them might be bad people.
Marko -- I doubt it.
Polo -- I bet he’s a bad guy.
Marko -- Who?
Polo -- That guy over there with the ugly shoes.
Marko -- Polo!
